Question Regarding Fibre Installation in a Condo
Hello, I had a Telus technician come by my condo today to install fibre internet as I am receiving mail that it is now available for my building and area. They had even successfully installed it in neighboring units (or condo blocks). After running some tests on the phone lines in my unit, they determined that each phone jack was dead and fibre was unable to be installed. Is this normally the process when Telus installs fibre in an older condo unit (built in the 1970s)? I was under the impression that they run new fibre cable along the ceiling throughout the shared space that goes directly into your unit. Does this mean they are looking to install FttB/FttN rather than FttH? Has anyone else found themselves in this situation or can provide some clarification on what is happening? What sort of options are available to me if I want to get fibre internet installed directly without using coax cables or phone lines? Thanks!1KViews0likes1Comment
