I figured it out with Amazon. The best way to get this done painlessly is to change the plan from yearly to monthly. They will automatically refund whatever I didn't use under the yearly plan - which for me would be 1 year minus ~2 weeks. Now I can just wait for my current subscription to end in Feb 2025 and I should be good to go to link the account with Stream+. I will add that this issue with Prime should be noted in your FAQ's about Stream+. I just signed up with Stream+ and had no issue with linking my existing Netflix and Disney+ accounts. However when I follow the instructions to link my Prime account I get an error message - "You already have an active Prime membership on this account. Existing Prime members are ineligible for this offer." I searched to see if anyone else was having issues and found that the solution is to either pause or end the existing subscription. I can't do that as my Prime subscription renewed on Jan 11, 2025 for another year. Therefore if I pause or end the subscription it won't truly end until Jan 11, 2026. I signed up with Stream+ thinking I could just link my Prime account easily as that was what was stated in the FAQ. I do not want to pay for Prime twice for a whole year because this issue was not known until after I added Stream+! There has got to be another way to link my Prime account without getting double billed for it.1.4KViews0likes4Comments
