After speaking with neighbors, Telus actually was doing work on the cell tower, so the smart hub flipped to a different tower. However Telus jumped to conclusions, sent an email claiming I had broken my contract to not move the smart hub and shut down/blocked my service. Telus should have known this was happening, however you wasted 2 hours of my time at Christmas dealing with this. I have also had this issue - I had my data roaming off but kept cellular on in case of an incoming text message (which they say shouldn't be charged for). However when I came back, I had several days charges for roaming, despite not taking a call or sending a text. When I called, the person on the phone told me that app notifications were what caused the charges. A simple push notification from Sephora that popped up cost me $16. Why is the Smart Hub so unreliable? Mine is constantly dropping, today Telus sent an email saying we had moved the Smart Hub and cut off our internet. We got this service for our cottage and are not there most of the time. The only resolution they provided was for us to drive 3 hours and unplug the hub. We probably only have internet half the time. Do other people experience the same issues? Or do we have a bad hardware issue?1KViews0likes2Comments
