Misleading Equipment Upgrade Offer
I’ve been a loyal Telus customer for about 40 yrs. They send me a message saying renew your plan with us and get free equipment upgrade. The equipment I have is about 15 years old. So i called in and did that. The rep i spoke to said, ‘you will be getting new wifi and Telus TV equipment in 3-5 days’ So now it’s over a week so I called Telus. The rep said no you can’t get new equipment unless you are on the 3GB pure fiber plan! Do you want to upgrade to that for an extra 25 per month? I said no (i have 1GB pure fiber now). I’m fine with speed, but i want to upgrade wifi. ‘Well we dont just send free stuff to you’ so i said ok, I’ll cancel my account and go to Rogers/shaw. They ‘transferred’ me to the cancellation dept. Apparently Telus has jerked around ALL of their customers as I waited for over an hour to cancel then gave up. So as usual Telus is doing the old bait and switch. I’ve had problems with my internet connections ton for months. I had to escalate to get my equipment exchanged. They put in an order for updated equipment 2 MONTHS AGO. THE TECHNICIAN WOLL KOT COME TO MY HOUSE TO DO THE WORK. First appointment. He said he had a personal isaues couldnt make it. Then I tracked him down and made arrangements for a new date. He did not show up again. Tracked him down again he made another appointment and did NOT SHOW UP! Now my internet is crappimh out again every minute or so. THIS IS IMPACTING MY BUSINESS NEGATIVELY AS I DO CONFERENCE CALLS AND I DROP AT LEAST 4 times per hour!!! I don’t know what to do, it’s like Telus just does not care about any customers. I told them if it’s not fixed, I will cancel my contract. They said I have to pay a penalty. PLEASE FIX THIS FOR ME. I AM BEGGING689Views0likes2Comments
