It's not just you - I am doing this exact same dance with Telus currently. I received an email saying I was pre-approved for an upgrade to Purefiber at the same rate as my current internet plan. Well surprise, not only was the upgrade to Purefiber NOT at the same rate, I have also had no-shows on my technician appointments and then spend hours on hold trying to talk to the technical support team.
