Re: Telus not honouring agreement yet again
As soon as I threatened to put reviews on the BBB, social media and everywhere else I could think of, they were pretty quick to get a manager in touch with me who resolved the problem pretty quick. Everyone I spoke with regarding the problem before the manager were quite happy to just shrug off the issue like they couldn’t care less. It’s too bad you have to put in so much energy just to get what you signed up for in the first place.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsTelus not honouring agreement yet again
This is the second time now that I have signed up with Telus and they have reneged on the agreement. A few years ago on Black Friday I was contacted by a Telus sales person and signed up for fibre internet and a 2 year plan. The install had to be completed first, but when it snowed and got cold Telus offered me a bunch of bill credits and promised to have the drop done first thing in the spring. Come spring, Telus informed me that they lost my contract and I would have to sign up for a new one at not nearly as good of a deal as I had. I didn’t re-sign. 2 years later now, Telus gave me a better offer and I signed up again. After weeks of delays and screw ups installing the fibre line (while I had no internet) they finally got things hooked up. They gave me many bill credits and upgrades due to the total lack of professionalism and service. I noticed the bill credits on my invoices but didn’t really bother to look carefully at the bill. My most recent statement gets sent out and it’s double the price of what I signed up for. Now many more hours listening to this horrible hold music (I’m on hold now as I write this) 3 Telus customer service agents confirm how much I’m supposed to be paying per month, but say that I just can’t have that price anymore. This is 2 months into my 2 year contract. They insist that they can’t give me the price they promised me and sign me up for a contract that is more than originally offered. These guys are scammers. They offer you a great deal and then totally change it up once you are signed up. This happed to me 30 years ago with my cell phone, twice in the last 2 years with internet service. BEWARE OF THESE CROOKS!1.4KViews1like3Comments- 2.8KViews0likes3Comments
Re: Internet install
I’d like to discuss getting this internet hooked up today. Please organize whatever team members are needed to complete the job so that we can focus on the schooling that we paid for and not moving our pc to a family members house every time my wife has class. I have been without internet for over a week because Telus can’t seem to be able to complete the install. Perfect timing being that my wife is taking online classes. I cancelled and returned my Shaw equipment as Telus told me the install would be complete on October 1. I’ve spent upwards of 20 hours listening to Telus hold music, taken days off work for scheduled appointments, and yet I still don’t have internet at my house. Every time Telus shows up a my house, I still don’t have internet, and my install date gets pushed back even farther. I’ve never experienced such a frustrating interaction with any company in my whole life as this has been. They’re great at selling you their services, but don’t seem to know how to deliver it to you. A week after the brand new broken service drop was re-installed, a Telus technician finally came to hook up the internet to the house. Apparently, the other end of the drop was not hooked up, and he couldn’t complete his work, again. I then get an email saying my new install date is October 27. Almost a month later than the original install date. This post is getting to be as long as my ordeal with Telus. I’ll end it with that for now.2.9KViews0likes8Comments
