Re: honeywell thermostsat not connecting with my new telus modem
This issue seems to be reoccurring with folks connecting Honeywell Redlink Gateway to Telus Modem. And there are few solutions but not all very clear. Here's a crack to hopefully getting it clearer. Depending on how long you've been with Telus, you could have 2 kinds of modem . a) T3200M modem or Network Access Hub and the Wifi6 Booster combo. FIRSTLY, identify your modem Type. For Modem a), Follow the steps from a previous post below: i) Open browser, type in 192.168.1.254 to open admin portal ii)type "admin"; enter admin password from modem ( or if you have changed it enter it). Push reset button if you don't know the changed password you entered and use the default password on modem after reset. iii)"Change the device login password" - skip iv)Dashboard - left menu - click Network v) Network dashboard - top menu - hover over LAN - click on BRIDGE vi)BRIDGE page - check ENABLE BRIDGE (opens LAN PORT dropdown options - click LAN 1 (refers to port options on back of modem) vii)click SAVE SETTINGS ("applying changes ...") viii)Logout ix)Unplug power from Redlink Gateway device, wait 10 seconds, plug back in. x) Ethernet light should turn GREEN now xi)Test - open TCC app, adjust thermostat, see if thermostat registers change. xii) THANKS ANNA!!! ( Giving credit on previous post ) If you're on Modem b), you still need to bridge to PORT 1, however, i) Open browser, type in 192.168.1.254 to open admin portal. ii)type "admin"; enter admin password from modem ( or if you have changed it enter it). Your admin password is from the NETWORK ACCESS HUB (NAH) and NOT WIFI 6 Booster.. You'll need to remove faceplate with a gentle tub on the NAH to see the password. iii)"Change the device login password" - skip iv)Dashboard - left menu - click Network v) Network dashboard - top menu - hover over LAN - click on BRIDGE.. and BRIDGE PORT 1. vi)BRIDGE page - check ENABLE BRIDGE (and BRIDGE PORT 1. DON"T BRIDGE 10G PORT ( that might cause you other issues). vii)click SAVE SETTINGS ("applying changes ...") viii)Logout ix)Unplug power from Redlink Gateway device, wait 10 seconds, plug back in. x) Ethernet light should turn GREEN now Goodluck1.9KViews1like0Comments
