If Telus isn't giving you the PWD discount, I'd look at alternatives in the area. Lots of places to get low cost internet, as well as low cost refurbished PC's if thats something you need. Seeing how the device itself is designed to handle the 1.5+Gb speeds (and thats where people have issues) I'd say your experience running the device at .18gb speeds isn't representational. I'm running the Telus Fiber converter (Vanvita NH20T) and a Ubiquitiy mesh wifi setup. After removing the bundled Telus "Super awesome internet funbox for the whole family" I get IP v4 drops all over the place, IPv4 service just dumps every few hours. It comes back online later, and just...drops again later. IPV6 continutes to route. Thinking I was crazy, I installed another router and the same thing happened! I tried one more time with a wired device directly into the NH20T and it has the same problems. These problems all go away when I plug in the extra router but its very slow and I don't have a need for it. Has anyone had this issue before? Apparently its a non standard implementation of ARP Protocols?1.8KViews0likes1Comment
