Re: Bridging NH20T issue
neilp316 Not sure if you already resolved the issue. Are you getting public IP on the 10G bridge port? If you are behind CGNAT, NH20 will show different IP (100.x.x.x) than when you look up your ip. Telus limit the number of TCP connections when you are behind CGNAT. You must contact them to disable CGNAT on your line. When you bridge the 10G port, the other 4 ports still works, but on a different public IP. Telus offers 2 WAN connections for residential internet.191Views0likes0CommentsRe: Intermittent Connectivity, Server Misconfigured
I was able to get this resolved by telling them exactly to disable CGNAT. The front support agent didn't understand the issue as they are not aware or not trained so they get you to do basic troubleshooting. I tried to refuse what they told me, but they ended up talking to their network support agent who was able to disable NAT. Everything works fine now.1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Intermittent Connectivity, Server Misconfigured
Wow, I also started experiencing similar issue between 7:00-midnight. It must be a coincidence because the issue started happening right after I switched the WiFi booster from COAX to Ethernet. My WAN IP starts with 100.80 as well. I wonder if this got switched after I swapped cables. Is there any fix for this? I had zero outage and zero issue prior to moving from COAX to Ethernet. What exactly do we need to tell Telus support to fix the issue?1.6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: How to fully disable IPv6 on NH20T
Any update on this? I use personal AdGuard server as my DNS. Almost all my devices pick up my server IPV4 as DNS which is set on the Telus NH20T modem with all IPV6 options disabled. For some reason, IPV6 is still shows on my Pixel phone. I can't figure out why my Pixel device sets some random ipv6%wlan0 as primary dns and my adguard server ipv4 as a secondary dns. Even my WiFi 6 booster shows my adguard server ipv4 as primary dns, but my pixel phone doesn't. Other devices like Macbook or iPhone sets correct adguard IPV4 as primary dns. Is this an android issue or Telus? Is Telus not completely disabling IPV6?2KViews0likes1CommentHow do I change secondary DNS on Fibre Modem FXA5000?
I was able to change the primary DNS from Local Network > Show Advanced > DHCP Settings > DNS Server. There is only one field which is the Primary DNS. How do I add a secondary DNS? The reason I want to add secondary is because if my primary go down, secondary dns can be used. I tried adding using comma or space, but that is not accepted. The modem is not even smart enough to use itself as secondary dns by default. Initially when I made the change, it used IPV6 as a primary dns on my phone. When I disabled IPV6, it now uses only the custom DNS that I set. No secondary DNS. So how do I go about setting secondary DNS? Any ideas?Solved5.1KViews0likes3Comments
