Re: Telus ADT Door to door - scam?
Yeah, it did sound too good to be true. He offered to pay the remaining balances on the cost of two of our cell phones which totalled nearly $600 in addition to cutting our monthly cell phone bills by over 50%. After I asked if I would be billed directly by Cogeco for the television deal he offered (as Telus doesn’t offer television packages), he said it would be billed by a 3rd party company which was also shady. The other sketchy party was that he wasn’t willing to provide any fine print or written agreement until after I agreed to sign up. I would recommend you never agree during an initial offer and take time to think about the details. If they tell you it’s only valid for the day they’re there, pass. I ended up telling him I wasn’t interested.9.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Telus ADT Door to door - scam?
Hi. I had this occur to me today as well (June 30) in Burlington. He was wearing a Telus golf shirt, but no ID card. Read something stating he was with “Inios” or “Eneos” (not sure of the spelling) on behalf of Telus. Offered savings and discounts that appeared almost too good to be true. Anyway to verify the authenticity?9.8KViews0likes3Comments
