Re: Recordings Show Asset Expired
Thanks that make some sense. If I search for the program it reports details as follows: ===== Spooked Scotland 1 Season | 8 Episodes 14+ | 2022 | History The team attempts to contact the victims of an unspeakable witch-hunt. History, Paranormal ======= When I look at the individual episodes available, all of them have a "Subscribe (key)" token and detail displays showtimes that are now only on DTOUR. I'm also guessing that because the recording was not valid anymore, the recorded date was removed.3.3KViews0likes0CommentsRecordings Show Asset Expired
Something new over the last week: We've been receiving the following on some recordings: Asset Expired Your rental has expired or this program is not included in your subscription. Please repurchase the rental or subscribe to the content by visiting telus.com/mytelus (AB & B) or telus.com/montelus (QC). ERR_PLAYER_403-10146 This has happened on a few shows lately, here are some details on the last occurrence today: 1) Recorded "Spooked Scotland" - as far as I can see, this is only provided by History channel, which I have in my Theme pack selections. i.e. I can go any of the History channels and view current programming. 2) Recording is not past 45 days as it was recorded only 2 weeks ago. Side observation for the BA: The recording detail screen, accessed from the recordings list, needs to show details about the recording like: o Channel recorded o Time and duration recorded o Quality of recording (i.e. STD,HD, 4K) o New vs Repeat The above information would be immensely helpful for troubleshooting recording issues.Solved3.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Telus TV (Pik TV) - CTV and Global channels keep dropping
Hi Kate, No, I didn't make any changes to my browser. I stopped watching Telus TV+ on my PC due to the problem over a week ago and hadn't retried until Monday. There's a slim chance that maybe a Windows 11 update could have changed something but I doubt it because only Telus TV+ was affected - all my other streaming services were fine (netflix, prime video, appleTV).16KViews0likes1CommentRe: Telus TV (Pik TV) - CTV and Global channels keep dropping
This appears to be a general issue with the Telus TV+ application that runs in a browser. As of a couple of weeks ago, a number of people have reported this issue, see: https://forum.telus.com/t5/Optik-TV/Telus-Tv-on-a-Mac/td-p/137522 For me, after 4 to 10 minutes, the show I'm watching on my PC, using Edge, closes and I'm returned to the Guide. Interestingly, when I used Firefox it streamed a TV channel for much longer, but after 30 min I encountered an error message "This browser is not supported" and when I clicked OK on the dialog the app went back to the Guide. I would guess Telus' development group has a missing regression test and released this issue with a recent update on the in-browser application - they'll have to fix it on their side. Edit add: Using Android, Apple TV, etc. does not present this issue - only using Telus TV+ application in a browser is presenting this issue. Edit 2 add: Since it's been a week since I last tested this, I tried again today and I discovered the problem is likely resolved. I watched a program for an hour with no issues today (using Edge).16KViews1like6CommentsRe: Telus Tv + on a Mac
Quick update on Firefox - sometime between 30 min and 1 hour (I left the application playing and walked away), an error dialog popped up saying "This browser is not supported" while the program continued playing in the background and when I clicked on OK to clear the dialog, it fell back to the Guide. I clicked on the guide and started another show, apparently the browser is supported again. Something very weird going on with the PC application (and I'm guessing the Mac app too).15KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Telus Tv + on a Mac
My PC started having this issue yesterday. It returns to the Guide after 4.5 min. I've been using MS Edge and I tried the "Allow pop ups and redirects" and also disabled Adblocker with no success. I also tried full screen vs windowed, again with no success. I have just tried using Firefox and it seems to be working for me. It's been 30 min now and the show is still playing. When I get a chance, I'll see if I can determine what causes the issue in Edge.15KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Fiber install hole for a year
Further to NFtoBC... Do you have, or are there, children that have access to the area? Notify Telus that children are at risk of being injured; they will need to escalate this immediately to a critical safety issue as they have been informed of a potential danger. Hopefully, it will be resolved before someone's child is hurt. Telus is ultimately responsible for managing the work of their contracted installers.1.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: PVR Recordings don't match when I view
I'm having similar issues. Telus really needs to get this sorted to compete with Shaw. My issues include: 1. Series recordings for many news programs only record one episode (meta data is wrong) 2. Programs set up for recording do not always record the correct program 3. Cancelling or deleting a recording you are currently watching does not return you to the last live TV channel selected (or alternatively, the guide). It continues to play the deleted recording. 4. Remote does not have a button to directly go to recordings - you need to go Home first and then navigate to the recording bullseye icon. I have no idea why this seemingly key remote function is missing. 5. An option does not exist to automatically go to the last TV channel or app selected when turning on the Optik TV box without having to hit remote buttons. [Edited - add] 6. The guide information on screen does not show New vs Repeat status 7. Recordings do not have a delete recovery option (this may be a bigger piece of work) 8. Recordings do not have lead/trailing time extension feature for live programs Someone in Telus Optik development (BA) seriously needs to go through common use cases and move the development of these use cases to the top of their product backlog.
