Thanks Optik-Kate - I'll try to stick to the channel number. Hopefully this is something Telus can address in a future update though. With so many channels, I'm not likely to remember all the numbers (whereas the name is fairly easy to remember). It's also strange that it's so inconsistent. "CNN" works fine, but "TSN" opens the Sportsnet Channel for some reason. So while I understand the explanation, I'm hoping it's something that can still be improved as it's not a great user experience in it's current state.3.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Guide issue - No information
Thanks Nighthawk - at least I know I'm not the only one. It seems to correct itself for me as well, but I assume that's just because the time catches up with the guide. I did a factory reset on my TV box this morning, at the suggestion of Telus support, and it hasn't occurred again yet today, so fingers crossed!8.5KViews0likes0CommentsGuide issue - No information
I have the new Google-based Telus TV+ box, and am having some issues with the Guide. Often, when I wake up the TV box from a period of dormancy, the Guide shows "No information" for most channels at the current time. It's fine starting at the top of the next hour, but the current time doesn't have any programming. Normally that would just be an annoyance, but if there's "No information" in a slot, hitting "OK" won't do anything. In other words, it seems you can't change the channel to one that has no information in the guide. Is anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?8.6KViews0likes5CommentsGoogle remote - Voice command issues
I'm having a number of issues with the voice commands on my Google remote. If I say "Sportsnet" it changes the channel to Sportsnet One (OK, that's at least close). If I say "TSN" it also changes the channel to Sportsnet One. If I say "Sportsnet West" it opens Youtube and shows me search results there. In fact, in many cases, naming a channel opens YouTube instead. From what I've read I should be able to say the channel name and it will switch to it. Any suggestions? I'm having an issue with the new Telus TV+ system. When I set up a new Series Recording, it defaults to First Run and Reruns. However, when I try to edit the series to First Run only, it won't update. I get an error "Series recording can't be updated. No first run airing soon."
