Sonim phones
I have just become a Telus prepaid customer. I want to replace my flip (non-smart) phone, a ZTE Cymbal 2, which has software which at times resembles a virus. The phone of interest which I see on the Telus site is the Sonim XP3. Despite Sonim describing it as a basic talk& text phones, on the Telus site it is under smartphones: Home/Small & Medium Business/Smartphone/Sonim XP3 So: Can I buy this phone from Telus (or anyone else) and use my Telus SIM in it, under my Nationwide Talk & Text 25 plan? Can I order it from a Telus store? What is the price? On the page I quoted above, there is mention of a connection fee, but that may be because that page is linked to a certain type of plan. Is there such a fee? Thanks for any advice.3.5KViews0likes2CommentsClarification on moving to Telus Talk & Text
I am unfortunately with Public Mobile, on an old flip phone. 1) There is a Telus plan: Nationwide Talk & Text 25. Both the text and talk are called 'unlimited,' but there are notations: "Long distance calls originating in Canada and terminating in either Canada or the U.S.A. (except Hawaii and Alaska) are charged $0.60 per minute in addition to local airtime." So if I am in Hamilton and ring Toronto or London, is there a charge for long distance? That seems inferior to the PM Unlimited Provincial Talk plan. 2) Is there a connection fee for a new account on Telus? (I had a Telus account about 10 years ago.) 3) How do I port my phone # to Telus? Thanks for any suggestions.3.4KViews0likes2Comments
