There is a short "cooling off" period where you can rescind the contract. I received a similar call with a promise of a better plan. It sounded like the guy was in a "boiler room" with other sales pitches going on. Thing is, I'm happy with my current Telus plan and so I declined the offer. It takes time to compare the details of different offers so I only tackle a change when the contract term approaches. It left me feeling suspicious about the approach: Is Telus enabling third parties to pitch plans to Rogers and Telus customers? I'd like to know the relationship (contractors?) and financial incentives for the people pitching these plans. Seems dodgey to me for a company to be outsourcing the customer relationship.
