Re: Lagging with excellent ping
I was a Shaw customer since the outset of Cable Internet. I moved over to Telus last year and could not believe the lag in games. Night and day difference. I was an average 3.3 K/D on Shaw and it has dropped to 1.4 on Telus. Die a lot more on Telus . Shaw highly out performs Telus Optik when it comes to gaming. IN my case I unplugged Shaw, and plugged in Telus in the exact same network, so all the stuff Nighthawk rattled on about is not applicable in my case. It was an A to B switch. Telus blows when it comes to gaming. I moved my sons place back to Shaw.7.1KViews0likes0Comments- 7.4KViews0likes1Comment
Re: 2 ssid's with same password
I had 2 computers that would not print anymore when I hooked up to Telus. Absolute battle with the Telus wifi. Tried everything for months. In the end, I put the gateway in bridge mode, turned the radio off, hooked up my old router to port 1.....and every problem we were experiencing in our house disappeared. Maybe thats the same thing your phone is having. No one at Telus could figure this out. We were changing out switches, STB's, testing network cables. Something was interfering with the in house network, and we just had to battle thru it to find it.7.5KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Review of Telus 1Gb/s after a couple of weeks….
Mine is almost the polar opposite. I worked in CATV and owned my cable companies. Sold them to Shaw and 6 years later switched to Telus. If it stays running for 30 minutes right now we are cheering in the house. They are trying to sort it out, but really getting no where. 30+ years of Cable TV with zero problems.....now I am hoping for 45 minutes in a row with Telus tomorrow morning .12KViews0likes0CommentsMoca to Router to Set Top box
Has anyone added a router in-between the Moca and STB?? So would use coax from modem in office to downstairs TV location. Then have coax to moca .....ethernet to router....ethernet to STB. By doing this i could use the extra ethernet ports to support a wired connection from the router to my Playstation and Apple TV. Any idea if this would work??Solved4.1KViews0likes4Comments
