Re: 3rd Party Router with Telus Modem Bridging + Optik TV?
I believe both have static options. The modem was shut 9ff and when back on secondary router took on a new random IP all connected down now. Would you need static on both probably as it seems the Telus assigns the 192.168.1.64 to port 1 and can be made static. Would this be the secondary router static IP as it would be to nice as was pre shutdown to stay or be 192.168.1.1. Sub 255.255.0.0 Thanks,5.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: 3rd Party Router with Telus Modem Bridging + Optik TV?
Question when Telus modem bridged lan1 to lan/wan secondary router (set up as a 192.168.1.1 - 255.255.0.0 ) If you have a power failure will the telus modem resend a new IP address to secondary upon start up? If so what steps to correct any changing of the secondary router IP address? Cheers6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Pure fibre self pre install-move off copper internet / RG6 TV
thanks, the TV count would be per telus max, six i think. The question is what type of telus equipment/media convertor would go in garage if RG6 reused? Would this equipment be run from a port off the ONT via fibre or via Cat6 rj45 copper cable? Next question if RG6 abandoned what equipment goes on each TV to be part of the WiFi network?3.2KViews0likes1CommentPure fibre self pre install-move off copper internet / RG6 TV
Does Telus have a email contact where i can send existing cabling and proposed new setup to determine what options and equipment they could drop off and what i may have have to provide? They are offering some deals to switch from Sat and Telus copper internet I see many with cable /wifi variations posted so any forum comments as to install/equipment options appreciated.Solved3.3KViews0likes3Comments
