Moving overhead lines (relocating drop)
Hi, I'm wondering how I can get the drop at my house relocated to a different connection point. Right now the line is constantly being hit by a patio umbrella because of where it crosses the property so I'd like to have it relocated. It's not obvious in the phone tree who to talk to, so is there a particular department I should be talking to about this?102Views0likes2CommentsRe: Removal of aerial cables
If I have a private electrician relocate the drop, as opposed to a Telus technician, am I liable for any damages that could potentially result from the work? Ideally, this would not happen, but if the contractor caused a problem would I be liable compared to have a Telus technician do it?157Views0likes1CommentRe: Removal of aerial cables
On closer inspection, I see which line is which and it turns out there is likely no benefit to cutting the line, because the cable line runs parallel and I need the cable line to remain in place for my internet service, so even if I cut the Telus line I'll still have an overhead line causing the same issue because it can't be removed.361Views0likes0CommentsRe: Removal of aerial cables
TELUS_Support - Thank you for the information. I think I need a technician to confirm which lines are the Telus lines and to assist with the aerial drop (they are very old lines and I don't see how to disconnect them without physically cutting the lines). I can't find a phone number anywhere on the Telus website. What number should I call for assistance with this issue?351Views0likes5CommentsRemoval of aerial cables
I'm not a Telus home customer (but am a mobility customer) and do not intent do be. I have old Telus aerial lines running from the pole in the alley to my home and I'd like to know which department to talk to about having the lines taken down (or moved if they can't be removed). I do not intend to get a landline and the lines are obstructing the full use of my back deck so I'd simply like them removed. This is an unusual request and so the automated phone tree was understandably no help. Who do I need to contact about having these lines removed?Solved1KViews0likes9Comments
