Hi, I had 459.22 Telus Rewards points as of December 2023, and last week I was shocked to find out that the points have suddenly expired. If I had known about this, I would have cashed in the expiring points for rewards. I only found out about this when I got the March 13, 2025 note from Telus saying that Telus is improving the Rewards program, and that points worth 1 unit in the current plan will be worth 1,000 units starting May 1, 2025. Then, to see what my current point balance was, I logged on to my account, and was horrified to find out that I had well under 100 points, when I had 531.44 points as of my December 28, 2024 statement. Going back through my old bills, I now see (March 2025) that Telus said, in the fine print at the bottom of my December electronic bill, that the points were going to be expiring; but, honestly, who would be reading the fine print after 10-15 years of collecting points without interruption. I couldn’t find any letter or e-mail from Telus other than this. A change of this magnitude surely should have been highlighted to customers. Would I be able to get those 459.22 points reinstated? I have been a Telus customer for about 40 years … going back to BC Tel in the 1990s and in the 1980s with AGT in Alberta (both of which merged to form Telus).
