With schools winding down for the summer break and provinces getting set to reopen, you may be wondering what options you have to keep your kids entertained in the coming months. We’ve got the answer for you, with the return of our Virtual Science Camps, powered by TELUS.
We’ve teamed up again with TELUS Spark Science Centre in Calgary and TELUS World of Science – Edmonton to offer virtual camps where fun and education intersect, offering kids aged 5 to 14 a unique experience to bring the magic of the science centres into their own homes. While the camps may be hosted in Alberta, as a virtual experience, kids from across the country are encouraged to join in the fun!
Where learning meets fun
With daily camp activities and experiments, the live sessions are supported by dedicated camp instructors and experts on STEM topics including engineering and math; coding; space and astronomy; sports and nutrition; nature; and more. As always, campers will have access to:
- Learning platform with videos that supplement the camp program
- Featured content on TELUS Optik TV Kids Learning Corner, channel 611
- TELUS Wise digital literacy education
This past year has amplified the importance of science in our lives, and we’re in a unique position to contribute to the next generation of scientists. By connecting a team of amazing instructors from the science community with families near and far, we’ve helped deliver an educational adventure to nearly 1,800 campers, across 28 unique camps over the past year.

The summer sessions of Virtual Science Camps, powered by TELUS are scheduled to run from July 5 to August 27. Registration is now open for both TELUS Spark Science Centre and TELUS World of Science – Edmonton, costing between $60 – $75 + GST per camper.
