The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Similar to few other franchises in pop culture history, you'll be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't know who the Super Mario Bros. are...and finally after years of waiting, we have our first full animated movie! For proof...this is the first Mario Bros. movie in 30 years (yes I'm counting the cult classic live action 1993 movie, and I have no shame about it) and quickly it set countless records. The biggest opening weekend for an animated movie ever, the highest grossing movie ever based on a game, the highest grossing movie of 2023, not to mention one of the top 20 box office earners ever.
What else needs to be said? With a star-studded voice cast including Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and Fred Armisen...we can all finally spend some time in Mushroom Kingdom!
I loved this movie so much! It really hit all the nostalgia buttons for me, and unsurprisingly has razor sharp writing, hilarious jokes, and many references to the games and more! I'm pumped that this family friendly hit is finally available for streaming on Prime Video, so don't miss it! And watch out for Bowser!

Good Omens (Season 2)
I'm having a blast with the second season of Good Omens and I think you will too! It's chock full of humor, fantastic special effects, and tons of plot twists. Based on the hit novel by Neil Gaiman (Sandman), this story revolves around two unlikely friends, Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) as they reluctantly team up to stop Armageddon from taking over the planet. You see, Aziraphale is an angel, and Crowly is a demon...both of whom have actually grown fond of life on Earth and must coexist to help save the planet. Now, three years later after the first season, we find ourselves catching up with them as they team up with Gabriel (Jon Hamm) to continue their mission.
While it is a fantasy series on paper, make no mistake about it...this is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen and it's been worth the wait since the first season a few years ago! Speaking of, the first season is of course on Prime Video as well and it's worth catching up first. It's such a great fantasy series, with tons of heart and some great laughs. Don't miss it!
