2020 has thrown us some hail marys, including an unconventional season for sports lovers across the nation. We’d normally be gearing up for the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) biggest matchup and most beloved sports championships in Canada — the Grey Cup, but COVID-19 had other plans.
As part of TELUS’ commitment to give back to our communities and keep fans connected, we’ve stepped up to help support our six CFL teams, BC Lions, Edmonton Football Club, Calgary Stampeders, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Ottawa REDBLACKS and the Montreal Alouettes, and their players by supporting the Grey Cup Fan Base initiative.
The Grey Cup Fan Base is a dynamic, multi-level podium created to honour the CFL’s dedicated fans and partners. Made from Canadian maple and aluminum, Canada’s biggest football supporters can have their names etched into one of ten pillars representing CFL fans from coast to coast.
We may not have a game this year, but we can still stand united and keep the spirit alive. CFL fans across the country are invited to come together virtually for Grey Cup Unite, a free and safe celebration of the game from November 16 – 22.
