Upload (Season 2)
Finally! It seems that every show and movie has seen delays with the pandemic, but few delays stung as much as hearing that another season of Upload was going to take a bit longer to ramp up. Well, patience is a virtue and finally on March 11 it pays off. The hilarious sci-fi comedy Upload is back for a second season and, after that cliffhanger, it can't get here soon enough!
For the uninitiated, Upload takes place in the near future, where technology finally allows people to upload themselves into a virtual afterlife of their choosing (dependent upon what they can afford, of course). When a computer programmer Nathan (the hilarious Robbie Amell) dies prematurely, he's uploaded into the expensive, posh resort afterlife known as Lake View. As he adjusts to his new 'reality', he bonds with Nora, his very much still alive service rep. Their feelings grow and they slowly unravel a mystery surrounding Nathan's early demise. An extremely clever premise.
You're definitely in for a treat if you haven't already watched the first season. The writing and story here match the great acting, with some clever stuff happening in Nathan's new afterlife. From a glitching bellhop to not having enough 'credits' to afford his new virtual breakfast, there's a lot to make you laugh. Where Upload shines however is the great cast. Every character is perfectly portrayed, and it makes you really invested in Nathan's new 'life' as he falls for Nora. It's an idea that's been touched upon before (does anyone remember the classic movie Ghost?) but all the modern touches that we can all relate to in our current lives make it all the more clever. You still have time to catch up before the new season drops and trust me, it won't take you long. This is 100% binge-worthy. Be sure to check out the second season of Upload when it drops on March 11!

LOL - Last One Laughing (Season 1)
I cannot get enough of this show. After a few minutes I think you'll agree. Last One Laughing is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and if you're a fan of comedy, then you're in for a treat. This Canadian version of the popular international comedy reality competition has a simple premise. Stick 10 of Canada's funniest people in a room full of props and let them do what they do best. The catch? If you laugh, you're out. Doesn't take much to figure out how ridiculous things will get as each contestant does whatever they can to eliminate the others.
Even the trailer has me belly laughing, and you can believe I burned through all six episodes at blazing speed. Featuring well-known Canadian comedy legends such as Colin Mochrie and Tom Green, these folks stop at nothing to win. I was in stitches throughout the series and I'm sure you will be too. Give yourself a challenge...fire it up and see how long you can keep a straight face! All episodes are streaming now on Amazon Prime Video. Check it out!
