Super excited to kick off the discussion of all things Xbox! I've been on Team Xbox since upgrading from my SNES back when I was a youngin', and haven't looked back. Always been a fan of the exclusive titles like Gears and Halo, but I'm also big in to the smaller indie games here and there as well. Cuphead FTW!
Anyone else pumped for the possible next-gen console announcements at E3 this summer? I'm gonna finally make the jump from my Xbox One S so I can play Gears 5 as it's meant to be played lol.
Who else is Team Xbox?

I also have been with Xbox since the first original console. And loved it ever since. I can’t wait to see what the next generation console has to offer.

Same. I've been on XBOX since day one, so looking forward to seeing what's planned for the next gen but sticking to my S for now.

Wow, talk about a killer briefing. I don't even know where to begin, I'm so pumped.
- Cyberpunk 2077 finally out in April, with Keanu freakin' Reeves?
- Game Pass Ultimate is a STEAL, and actually cheaper than a regular Game Pass subscription + Xbox Live subscription on a monthly basis. Can't beat that.
- Halo Infinite launching with the new Project Scarlett console next Christmas?
Just too many things to list...

Again you are worried about technology that is many many years away. 8K TVs are barely even on the market and they are insanely expensive. There is no 8K content out there. There's barely any 4K content as most channels are still 720p/1080p. An Xbox would need a far more expensive graphics card that would likely double the price of the Xbox to even approach 8K at decent frame rates. Seeing as how there is zero market for 8K anything right now, don't count on seeing a console that'll support it any time soon. 4K games already have huge file sizes. 8K would be worse. Any professional gamer out there isn't gaming at 4K resolution. The hardcore ones are on 1080p.

Been pretty impressed with my upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate so far. The first month for $1 was amazing enough, but not paying anything until my XBL year is up in Feb, and then getting everything at a discounted combo price is awesome. And who doesn't love brand new games coming out at launch with early access?

Some great announcements from today's Xbox presentation at Gamescom in Germany! A ton of new Xbox Game Pass titles (including new survival horror Blair Witch on day of its release Aug 30? yes please.)
Things are ramping up as we move in to the fall. Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 in a few weeks!

Now a week ago from the Xbox Series X showcase and I can't wait. An hour of nothing but trailers and reveals for new games. So pumped!

So November 10th it is! Can't wait to preorder my Series X on Sept 22 and let the countdown begin. Since AC: Valhalla has bumped their release date forward a bit to match that date I think I'll be playing that and of course Cyberpunk 2077. Exciting!

Only a few weeks now, and I'm super hyped. Was anyone else able so score a preorder for a Series X or S? Reading/watching all the reviews saying that this is the closest to a top tier gaming PC that a console has ever been has me incredibly excited. Planning on getting the new Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, and of course Cyberpunk 2077. Ahhhhh!!!

I have been bitten too many times (see red ring of death!). I am going wait for a revised version of the system in two years before I jump in! Luckily they are support Xbox One for a few more years! Shame because I would like to jump on it. But I would also like to upgrade my office TV to 4K and enjoy the Series X experience.
I'd also wish they figure out a way to let you convert your disc game to digital for free, so you can move to a Series S and not be out a few hundred dollars, but that's just wishful thinking.

Man, I feel you on the RROD hahaha. Fortunately, I've only ever got it once ever (the first white brick 360 I ever bought) and when I contacted them, they quickly sent a return box with postage, and about a month later when I got a fresh one back, they tossed in a free wireless headset and MS store gift card, so that definitely helped.
I'm also 100% with you on the S...this will be the second gen of consoles that I've been thiiiiiiiis close to going all digital. To this day I physically own maybe like half a dozen games. The OG BioShock games, the remastered BioShock collection, all three OG Batman Arkham special editions and maybe 1-2 more. What does it for me is still having the option to trade in or sell a game I don't want anymore to put towards a new game haha.

I feel you on the trade in, but I don't see EB Games surviving for more than a couple of years. Gamestop is notoriously losing profit in the US and as more people just go to the digital world to start, there's less of a need for EB. If there are other trade in options, I'd argue they are not plentiful.

Very true, though that's been said about EB for roughly 5 or so years now, and with their ever-changing business model they'll probably be good for a while. Also, Facebook marketplace haha.
