Did you mean:

"your current TELUS Internet plan does not support Pik TV."

PBA

I have optik 150Mb internet connection with no TV, but I would like to subscribe to Pik. I am based in the Gibsons area on the Sunshine Coast, but when I try to s\purchase my subscription through the e-mail link sent to me, I get this message:

"Unfortunately, it looks like your current TELUS Internet plan does not support Pik TV."

  1. Why was I sent a promotional e-mail for Pik if my internet plan does not support it?
  2. Just how much bandwidth do I need to use Pik? Is 150Mb download speed not enough?

Paul.

Hi there, @PBA

I've come across this a couple times this morning and am checking into it. I'll get back to you as soon as I get a response a bit later today. In the meantime, would you please send me a private message with your account number so I can get a bit more information about your service?

Thanks 🙂

Yes, 150 Mbps is fast enough for Pik TV.  Try purchasing from the website instead. If you have Optik, you are also not elegible for Pik TV.

Great news, @PBA

I got a message overnight that a fix was pushed out so I'm glad to hear you're on your way. Enjoy your Pik TV.

Pretty hilarious that you guys can respond when someone inquires about buying the device but when the device doesn't work you guys are completely silent and never comment on the topic.  Avoid this hardware like the plague, comes faulty with no return offers (cheap Chinese hardware) - You either get burned for the $100 or you cancel and send it back to Telus.  Horrible service.

All PikTV devices come with a one year warranty. Like any electronics manufacturered there can always be duds in a production run.

Simply give telus a call for a replacement. Seeing you've had issues from day one, i would suspect bad hardware.. @Scoto can you assist, thanks.

Hi @hc-config

We're more than happy to replace any defective hardware without cost to you. Did you order online or pick up the media box from a TELUS Store?
