Sounds like the remote may not be paired properly to the Pik TV. Is the blue light lit on the Pik box?

Thanks for your reply. The blue light is lit. The pik box and remote were working fine for a few months and then the ability to use the guide or change channels became sporatic until they stop working almost completely a couple of weeks ago. That includes all other buttons. As I write low and behold the buttons are available, but as the recent past has demonstrated, not for long.
Since the buttons were rarely working again I got into settings and noticed a remote upgrade option. In following your suggestion that the remote might be the problem I noticed a remote upgrade and upgraded the remote, (first it said it was already upgraded but I tried again and it upgraded). I might be premature to believe it is a fix due to the past problems and frustration, but I now have some hope that it is a fix. Thanks so much for pointing me in the direction of the remote (I was thinking pik box).
