PikTv USB port Function?

NBody
Organizer

Have been trying to find information about this through Telus for some time with much frustration. Anybody have any clue what this part of the sales pitch means? -"Also enjoy access to your files easily via the USB port"   THANKS,  N

yup, I'm also wondering what the USB port is for, and what I can use it for?

by any chance can I extract 2-channel stereo sound from it? (to get sound signal into RCA cables so I can hook into my old-school stereo)

So, can I play movies stored in a usb drive through this port? I connected a usb drive and installed a few apps to play movies, but cannot access the drive. Any settings to be changed?

Is the USB drive formatted in FAT32, EXT4 or NTFS? (Put in PC, right click, Properties)

I believe it was NTFS - currently at work and unable to confirm. So, which format it should be ideally for the PikTV box? It was playing fine from another streaming box - which I have now ditched for the PikTV.

NTFS is a Windows specific file system. It won't work on most non Windows boxes. Flash drives usually ship with FAT32 formatting and that should work on most platforms. It is possible to reformat a flash drive from one filesystem to another but you lose all data on it when reformatting it.
