Hello,
Is it possible to eliminate the Set Box with PIK TV and access the system from the Smart IPTV app that is pre-loaded on my LG TV?
I would prefer not to have to use the box for a cleaner installation, no additional cables and only use 1 remote.
I haven't been able to find anyone to provide me with a definitive answer.
Thanks,
CM

I just want to clarify my question. I wasn't asking if PIK TV was available as an app, but rather I want to use SMART IPTV app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.siptv.video&hl=en
as the media player. As I understand it I would only need the MAC address for PIK in order to eliminate the set top box.
I would appreciate your input if this format would work and if PIK will provide the MAC address to a subscriber without purchasing a set box?
A MAC address is the unique physical address assigned to the network port on the Pik TV box itself. You'd need a Pik TV box in order to have a MAC address as well as the box turned on and running all the time. After reading the instructions and other pages on the app's website, and testing with my own Pik TV box, I'm fairly sure the Pik service is not compatible with the app.

Pik is not available as a smart TV app. The set top box will still be required at this time.

Don't think it will work...just checked my PikTV box status shows a dummy MAC 02:00:00:00:00:00 and it only shows a serial no. bottom of the box.
