PIK TV delay

Does anyone know the delay that is experienced in PIK vs Optik? I am using PIK and last night during the football game I was getting texts from a friend with Optik about plays ahead of what I was seeing on my screen. I phoned Telus support and was told that there should not be any difference between the two services in terms of time the content is delivered. Can someone please confirm?

Delay confirmed by a Telus technical support agent today. She said she couldn't tell me the delay time because different channels are delayed differently. I understand the inevitable delay issues with streaming services, but as a result PIK shouldn't be sold as Live TV.

Were you both watching the game on the same channel? There could be broadcaster delays.

I know there is a short delay of a few seconds between what is displayed on my main set, and those connected wirelessly. During the Grey Cup last year, we positioned a few TV around the house, but had to have sound from one only due to the delay.  Not enough time to send a text, though!

I still believe this is happening. When I'm watching TSN1 on PIK TV it is behind what someone watching the same channel on Optik TV sees. I believe it's up to 30 seconds. Can anyone confirm?
