Hi,
I have absolutely no need for any new type of device, box or equipment. I just want to be able to use my Sony Android TV with the App downloaded or my Phone to cast to a TV. Can I do those things with Pik?
Also, I really only care about Adult Swim, MSNBC... Is there a PVR function to go back to a show that was just on? Or check out yesterdays episode? (Functions YoutubeTV, PS Vue, and all the others have, I dont mean something where an episode pops up a day later and you can watch it on demand, I am talking about a PVR feature to just watch a show and skip through it like a PVR any time you want?)
If this is only Live, its kinda useless to me as I do not care at all to watch commercials and want to skip them 🙂
Thanks!

The broadcasters will not allow someone to cast from Pik TV apps to another device. The broadcasters won't even allow this for Optik TV subscribers.
Pik TV does not have a PVR function since it doesn't have a hard drive in the Pik TV box. PVR functionality is only available on Optik TV.
Pik TV is only live plus the on demand content.

Yeah this is just a garbage design, you shouldn't need a hard drive. This isn't 2010, every good online tv service has PVR functions.
You're confusing video on demand with a PVR. They are two different things. Going back to a show that was just on is a feature from Optik TV and is neither VOD or PVR.
Many broadcasters are also not allowing viewers to fast forward or skip parts of VOD titles also. Some, like CTV and a few other channels even have non skippable commercials as part of their VOD titles.
And the fact you can't cast this to something like Chromecast makes this a complete waste of money and time.
Seriously Telus needs to fire their executive team and get on board with the times.
Again, for casting, this isn't something decided by Telus. The broadcasters place that restriction.
