Can the Pik TV mobile app cast to chromecast?

Just a quick question about the ability to use the Pik TV mobile app with my chromecast.  First off is it even possible to cast to chromecast with the app? And second, if it isn't has anyone heard if it is even being considered for implementation down the road?  

And before anyone mentions the data usage, yes I know that data will be used through the mobile app and not through the box, but I barely ever come close to my data limit as is, and having chromecast support allows for multiple TV's to be playing content, which would be helpful.  I like the premise of this app but would at least need the ability for multiple TVs through the use of chromecast for it to be worth my time and money.  Optik TV isn't an option as its price is just way too high for the minimal channels I would watch.

I only have Netflix and Sportsnet Now right now and for 40 bucks a month some TV channels and the Sportsnet/TSN package isn't a terrible deal, since I really don't have a cheap option to get TSN at the moment.  Would be nice if I could get just Sportsnet/TSN for cheaper but at least this is a step in the right direction.

If it's anything like the Optik to Go app, it's very likely that it cannot cast anything. The broadcasters are pretty restrictive about features like that.

This is also what I'm assuming, but Sportsnet Now supports chromecast (which is why i subscribed), so I was hoping that maybe the broadcasters would loosen up on those restrictions since Rogers opened the door.

Rogers doesn't want other providers to cast so they can monopolize it on their own app.

Pik TV is meant to be used on one 'big TV' only. The support docs state that if you want multiple viewing locations in the home, Optik is the appropriate choice.

And yes i know optik is the "appropriate" choice but I only have 2 TVs and don't need TV by any means, this was just the first "affordable" option I've seen, and to get Sportsnet and TSN on optik the price is a little steep after the intro offer is done.  I just wanted to see if anyone had the service, and if this was an option, because that would've sold me on it, but I guess I will stick with my Sportsnet Now subscription.

Sports now subscription alone is $24.99+tax. Besides the initial cost of the PikTV device you can receive the basic up to 23 channels, plus pick 5. Combine TSN and Sportsnet (sports pack) $20 it's a pretty good deal $40+tx for a cord cutter.

You also have a full blown android tv device to stream a variety of apps and games. I understand the ability of not being able to "cast", but you do have the ability to use your mobile device or tablet as well.

As a consumer we're pretty spoiled considering how things were in the 80s/90s. There's so many ways to consume digital content these days.

Totally agree that we're spoiled compared to back then, but being a student I have to be very economical in how I spend my money, and Sportsnet Now is only $14.99 a month for students, which is a great deal compared to traditional TV.  $40/month for Pik TV with the sports package is still a great deal in my mind, I would just need the flexibility for 2 active TVs for it to tip the scales from cost to benefit in my situation.
