Can I pair the STB to an audio receiver?

I can't seem to find an option to pair my Pik remote to an audio receiver, rather than the TV for volume control.  Is this an option?

@Am604 the PikTV team was notified of this request and was being looked into. Should be a simple implementation of just getting the "remote codes". Fingers crossed 🤞

@ts45 you can't use Pik remote to control A/V receiver yet, but we are looking at enabling that use case in a future release.

Thanks,

Sean

This is a must have option, I pass the audio through optical only (Bose system) It would eliminate the need for another remote.

I also believe this feature is a must have. Please release an update soon.

is there any update on the expected availability of this feature? 🙂

This type of change likely won't happen quickly, if implemented. I suspect it will also depend if the remote itself is even capable of it.

The remote seems to have firmware upgrade.  Hopefully that is not the limitation.

I would propose rather than codes, if possible, they could just create a learning app for the box that programs the power and volume keys.  That way no-body has to worry about code support.  Simply program the power and volume keys for each user's particular situation using your existing remotes.

For my situation I would like power to be TV and box, and volume to be my amplified speakers (Edifier).  If we are allowed to program the remote then there are no brands to support, and it is a better long term solution.
