Youtube Playing At Same Time in Background While Trying To watch Netflix

So this has been happening the last two days. Whenever I want to put on Netflix or Crave/Prime, YouTube is playing on screen as well. For example, if I’m looking at the Netflix menu, YouTube is seen as well in background with the volume. The only way I figured to fix it was by turning off the Optic Tv and restarting. It’s not shutting down in order to watch different Streaming site. Anyone else experiencing this glitch?

I've had a similar experience with Stingray Music. It seems some of the Apps continue to run unless you shut them down properly. I took me a while to figure out how to do this with Stingray. I don't frequent Youtube on my PVR but I suspect there is a proper way to close it.
