I've had a similar issue. I need to know how your TV outputs audio. Are you using the built-in TV speakers? Are you using a sound bar or external speakers? If so, how does your TV output audio to them? HDMI? Digital Audio Out? Is there an HDMI switch anywhere in your setup? Post a reply and I can shed some more light on your specific scenario. Thanks.

I'll have to go offline soon, so I'll provide some more information.

-If you have the simplest setup (HDMI cable directly from PVR to TV): 1) Change HDMI ports on TV, or 2) Replace HDMI cable.

-If you have external speakers of some sort, this issue is very common. For example, I had my TV outputting audio via HDMI through an HDMI switch, and to a sound bar via HDMI. One of them was the issue, and I lived with just turning the HDMI switch, and sound bar, off/on every once in a while for a year or so. When I finally changed my setup, the solution was just simplifying the connection: Outputting audio directly from your TV to your speakers via Digital Audio Out should help. This cable carries exclusively audio, and should do it. I haven't had an issue in quite a while.

Thanks for the info have been waiting for call from Telus. Got it and hers the results so far, Andre was helpful, asked a lot of questions got answers. I have a Samsung 50” TV, audio was going through the TV, problem surfaced last year and at that time a new router and the addition of a wireless 4k digital box solved the problem. Since that time we added a Samsung sound bar, Andre suggested using speakers from TV for awhile too see if problem disappears the reversing the Optical cable and see if that helps. So we are back on TV sound, Sync is ok, so far. Samsung sound bar instructions said optical was the best way to go and i think TV is short spare HDMI outlets. Time will tell thanks again. Rick

Hmmm...interesting. I use a Samsung TV and Samsung Sound bar, no complaints, but they HAVE to be connected via Digital Audio cable. If you notice your sync issue is gone with the TV's speaker, then problem solved...it's the connect between the TV and sound bar, pretty common. Reverse the cable, or get a new cable. Good luck!

ok am going to go back to TV speakers for a while then will switch cable ends and see if that works, as far as Optical cables go are some better than others? do not know the brand I am using or where it arrived from, could be old or older? Thanks Rick

I just use a Rocketfish optical cable from Best Buy...never had a sync issue with it. It's a decent brand.
