Fox News should be removed from the Telus cable lineup. There's no place in this world for such indiscriminate falsifying and misinformation of news designed to mislead people and create a new distorted reality for viewers who should know better. Fox News income is mostly derived from cable fees. They could actually survive just on cable fees, without ad revenue. It's up to Telus to remove this cancerous body from it's lineup. Even if viewers don't watch it, they are still in essence paying for it with their monthly fees. With the Dominion settlement, and other legal actions pending, it's time we put Fox News (oxymoron) where it belongs, dead and buried.

While you may not agree with fox news, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and freedom of expression. Various news outlets skew to one party or another. Few are neutral. Some media outlets take things to more extremes for view which equal dollars. So take it all with a grain of salt. To have a channel removed the CRTC would need a huge level of complaints on the channel, but they're not violating the rules.

It's a slippery slope and I'm sure there are more than a few Telus customers that feel similarily with respect to CBC. It's important to have access to opposing viewpoints. No one is required to watch.

About all that could/should be done is to give subscribers the choice to not pay for channels you don't want. Unfortunately the way news channels are bundled into packages one would never get to pay for just the ones we like.
