Receiver/amplifier power sync problem

Hi all. I've programmed my new Slimline2 remote for my new 4K tv & my Onkyo AV Amp/receiver no problem. Can control everything ok, but the amp won't turn on or off with the power button on the remote. I've done the power sync thing (0007) a couple of times. Also disabled (0006) & enabled again to no avail. Any suggestions? Thx in advance.

I'm guessing the TV power button on the remote turns on/off your TV. If that's the case I think you are out of luck unless you get a programmable remote that supports more than 2 devices. I'm a fan of the Logitech Harmony 665.

Yup, the tv power button does turn the tv on & off. Guess it's an issue with the Onkyo AV Receiver, thx anyway. Not that big a deal to use the Onkyo's remote to turn it on & off...

You may wish to investigate using HDMI-CEC if your receiver and TV support it. It allows one device to control the other over a HDMI cable. More info here:

I use this method to power on my PS4 with my TV remote.
