Programming Slimline2 Remote for TCL 5 Series

After much hunting, I've found a remote code that will work...to a point. I am now able to turn off and on the TV. Unable to do anything else though, as the TV and Optik buttons are the only two that work. What am I missing?

If you haven't seen this you may wish to review your settings to see if you've followed the proper steps:

Program your Slimline Remote 2 for Optik TV | TELUS Support

I just bought a TCL 5 series( 55S533CA). Could you please advise which code worked for your 5series TCL? Maybe it will work on my model too.

These are the codes I found for TCL

1488 1489 1343 1342 1757 1402

Hopefully one of them works for you.

Hello,
Thank you for your assistance. These are the same codes as per Telus BUT, unfortunately, none of these work with my model. Hopefully, Telus will update the codes for the newer models.

1724 got it to turn off & on and volume up and down only for me! Still need roku remote to select cable box option not great!

1724 gets the slimeline 2 to turn off & on and volume then use roku remote options (star on the roku remote) then systems then power then power on then select your cable box and it will come on when you power up with the slimeline worked for me!

Jasco has assorted codes that might be worth a try:

6171

2851

0091

1421

1691

1851

2011

2061

2111

2301

3421

3431

3571

4921

1724 worked for me! After spending 2 hours with Telus Technical Support and trying so many codes that did not work at all, this code worked for everything I needed Slimline2 to do. If your cable box is the last item on the tv that was on, it will be automatically selected when 'Optik' is turned back on. I have a TCL 40S325-CA and there are "NO codes for this model". Thanks Oldsparky for posting!
