Recently I have not been able to record a program through the Optik TV App on my phone. Anyone know why?
One possibility is that it's on a channel you are not subscribed to.
There was some discussion on the topic of recording from phone apps a few months ago. Have you tried the search function in the forum?
The record button/feature is not there for me to choose. When I click on a program in the guide all that is available is a "series info" and "upcoming" option buttons to choose from.
Unfortunately the app blocks screen captures so I can't show you. There should be three buttons underneath the program graphic after you select it from the guide. Watch Live, Upcoming and Rec show. Do you see the first two only?
Do you have the Guide filtered by Subscribed or All Channels?
Can you record on your PVR unit at home?
Have no issues on my iPhone XS Max latest OS and 7.9.24 optik tv app.
Try uninstalling the app, reboot the iPhone then reinstall the app. Or create a new password and resign into the app.
