I have endless issues with the Optik app on IOS. It's pretty unstable. Generally I find a force close get's it back in working order. Sadly I have to do that a LOT. Here is how to force close an app in case you are uncertain:

FWIW I just checked and was able to see the record series option (after doing a force close as I couldn't even get into the app prior to that).

Just checked out the new app. Mostly good. Sadly the ability to filter by movies/TV for recordings is no longer available:-( I wish this feature was available on the PVR as well. I record a lot of movies from TCM and it's nice to be able to view just movies or just TV.

I see the American channels are missing from the Guide. Since I mostly record programs on PBS, the App will be useless now 🥵

My bad. I see there is a filter and somehow they got filtered out, which wasn’t the case before.

I cannot view the channels, because I am not on my home WiFi. I gather from the message I saw. I didn’t try to set a recording. I can test it all better when I’m home after the weekend.

Hi
I have the same issue using a Samsung s10, can play previously recorded shows on the pvr via the cell, but the option to record shows is nowhere to be found. Any ideas?

@Blaine You can play your recorded shows from your phone? I can't. AFIK the app only allows watching of live and on demand programs.
