You would be wiser to connect with Telus by phone, chat, or through. Their Twitter or Facebook presence than by email.

Have you tried re-starting your router?

If you find a post useful, please give the author a "Kudo"

I have reset the router and all tv boxes and i have 750MBS up and down .

I did a test with shawcable gateway last night and watched a few recordings and they are buttery smooth .If this is a telus compression issue .why are they compressing the video on all streams and if this is the case then why am i paying for this  .The picture is unwatchable and on a 600hz plasma tv one top of the line and the other plasma is a middle of the line .

I tried a 4k tv and that was impossible to watch anything and i sent the tv back .

So why is telus compressing the video on streams ON A FIBRE CONNECTION !!!!!

Are you just quoting your Internet plan or did you actually do a speed test?

Now it has com to the point of tv is unwatchable and playing online games is pointless .

Online gaming has nothing to do with Optik service. Are you now saying your Internet connection is too slow to play online games? See my first question.

Sounds like there is something wrong with your Internet connection. The Optik picture quality and your online gaming experience are just symptoms of the problem.

Have you done a speed test from your router?

If your Internet speed is significantly below 50 Mbps that may be the problem.

Are you saying the picture quality was better previously? If so something has changed at your house.

My 4K Optik picture quality is great.

Now it has com to the point of tv is unwatchable and playing online games is pointless .The picture was never good compared to shaw telus always had this problem but now it is worse and i called telus and they hung up on me so i guess that means telus does not care and the they no they are doing this .The problems i had with shaw i found out that it was the installers problem he did not compress the f connectors and many not compressed and other that were loose and before they disconnected the shaw service i replaced all the connectors and problems were gone .So never blame the provider blame the idiot that can't use his tools .Plus like i said i still have the gateway shaw box and i watched a few of the recordings and they are buttery smooth and this is coax not fiber so if telus is compressing the video and causing the artifacts then why are paying for fiber when coax is better for performance and should not be !!!!

I hope the problem can get fixed or i will say goodbye to telus and never look back
