No option within Option menu to turn off home screen

Is there a work around for when one TV in one room has option menu to turn off home screen but the other newer TV does not?

Disregard: Home screen has to be on screen at the same moment as pressing the option button or it will bring up a different options menu without the option to turn off the home screen.
