No audio to sound bar

Just Moved In
I'm unable to get any audio from my sound bar (Polk Audio soundbar 4000). The speaker is connected to the TV by optical audio out port. This is the only option as the sound bar does not have HDMI. I have tested the soundbar on other smart TV and the audio is fine using the optical out connection. Any ideas are welcome! It's a 2.1 channel speaker setup. Thanks.

Verify you have light passing through the cable. (Red) on the end of the connector before you plug it into the sound bar.

 

Have your sound bar volume turned up, then verify the audio settings on your tv menu. TV speakers should also be disabled.
