Newest PVR model

What is the newest PVR model?  I have to replace my PVR and since I will lose all of my recordings I want to ensure that I receive the newest mode.

Thank you in advance.

Just to clarify, I need my PVR replaced as was wondering if I should go with the Arris 5662W or Technicolor UIW8001 PVR.

I just came over from Shaw a few weeks ago, the Telus installer gave me a brand new Technicolor UIW8001 PVR. It sure if this is the latest one or not.

Telus uses two boxes the arris and technicolor. You have the latest Technicolor one.

does the technicolor box have HDMI 2.1 outputs for HDR TV?

Most devices do not have HDMI 2.1 yet. For regular TV set top boxes, 2.1 would be overkill. The Technicolor UIW8001 was released before the HDMI 2.1 standard was finalized. The UIW8001 would have HDMI 2.0. The manual doesn't mention HDR so I suspect it's basic HDMI 2.0. HDMI 2.0 and the UIW8001 still support up to 4K/60fps.

well, I received the Technicolor UIW8001, let's see how it goes 😐

It seems to work fine but even when turned off (or in standby), it runs 24/7 and generates a ton of heat.
