My Slimline 2 remote doesn't work

My slimline 2 remote works to control volume and turn tv on/off but nothing else. I've gone through the steps to program with my LG TV and I assumed it worked, since initially I couldn't even do those two actions... now I can control volume and power but I can't change channels or access the guide or any on demand content.

Suggestions?

The channel control, menu, on demand, guide, etc. are all functions of the Optik box not the TV. Does the Optik box flash an LED light each time you use the remote for any of these functions?

What do you see on the TV screen? Are you using the correct input on the TV?
