Modem Extension Cable

Northwind
Just Moved In

I want to move my tv to another part of my living room but I only have one connection port.  I am wondering if you can buy a longer cable from the wall to the modem so I can move it wherever I would like in my living room?

You can also leave the router where it is, and replace the ethernet cable from it to the TV with a longer cable.

You can certainly purchase a longer network cable if you wish so you can relocate your TV.

Without knowing which equipment you have it's difficult to say.

I have T3200M and I believe it uses regular phone cables (RJ11) . If that is the case you could likely get a longer cord (if it's plugged into the wall) or an extension if there is no jack.

Just a long time customer hoping to help.

For some reason I can’t upload the image.  It is the green cable from the optic outlet into the modem.  Telus had to put a hole in my siding/wall in order to update my network.  They couldn’t use the phone jack
