Has anyone recently managed to get Optik TV to work with a 3rd party router?

I would like to avoid using the T3200M router that telus provides, and use my own.  I have seen some posts of people getting to work, but they are quite old now (for example: https://forum.telus.com/t5/Internet-Home-Phone/Solved-3rd-Party-Wireless-Router-for-Telus-TV-Interne...).

So, is it possible?  (My router is an OPNsense device if that matters)

I attempted a while back with both an Asia RT3000 and a Netgear (unknown model). The problem I kept having was the IGMP snooping settings. I couldn’t keep a TV signal for more than 10 seconds. In the end I gave up.
