HD channel spec for OptikTV

what exact spec does  telus HD channel use?  it should be one of the following

1.  1080p-30fps

2. 1080i-30fps

3. 1080p-60fps

4. 1080i-60fps

if the answer is depend on the tv-channel..

i will use  "sportsnet HD channel" as example

HD resolution is going to depend on the broadcaster and not on Telus. Some are still rocking 720i or 720p. Sportsnet and TSN is still 1080i for HD. Most broadcasts are not 30fps either. 24fps is more standard for TV. I'm not aware of any broadcaster that broadcasts in 60fps.

Picture format

• 1080i(HDTV)
• (HD feed downgraded to letterboxed 480i for SDTVs)
• 4K (UHDTV) (part-time, selected broadcasts)

CBC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBC_Television) is 720p.

wikipedia does say it is 1080i   but it does not say about fps

actually i was told most sports channels use 60 fps.  so how do i know what fps it uses?
