Cisco Access Point with WIFi-Boosters?

I recently added two Wi-Fi boosters to setup a mesh network and retired the Telus extender. There is a Cisco AP wired to my modem, do I still need it? Is it related to my Optik TV? I have a T3200 that’s smart enabled but I still have the 5G radio enabled, as I had assumed it’s needed for the optik but maybe not? How do I tell what is relying on the AP? Thanks!

You should be able to access the AP interface via its IP address, which you can find in the T3200 interface.

You could also simply disconnect it, and see what changes or no longer works.

Thank you @NFtoBC , I learned that two of my three OptikTVs were on the AP but, through WPS I connected them direct to the 5G wireless on the ActionTech modem. What risks do I have? Quality? Security? All of our mobile, Sonos, etc are on the WiFiBooster mesh. Thanks for your help!

My suggestion is that if you find you don’t need the AP, remove it from your network!

Some devices do not play well with the T3200M. We found iOS devices would not connect to other networked devices, just the internet, so no home sharing, AirPrint, etc, unless using an AP or mesh device.
