Yes, although the two seem the same, they are in fact two completely different services, with separate back ends.

I did not loss any recordings or my future recordings when I transfered over. Although none of my equipment was exchanged, they only added a Fiber module to my router.

My recordings were still playable when Telus was adding a optic module to the system, last year. But the problem started not long ago (October) after I switched to their suggested 2 year plan. Had been contacting Telus staff multiple times without any progress, except telling me that my old recordings are "deleted", and my PVR problem fix request becomes a "stuck order", stuck in their system for months withiut anyone working in it.
