Mail server asks for password, a lot

For the past 2 weeks most of my email accounts are continuously going offline and asking for my password. I punch it in (it works fine) and it asks again within an hour or less. Mac OS. Anyone know why is happening?

I haven't encountered the issue myself but my guess is the keychain isn't staying unlocked and Mail doesn't have continuous access to the passwords.

Which version of Mac OS and Mail are you using?

I'm using OS 10.10.5. and Mail 8.2. I've just updated the security patch and relaunched the computer. Perhaps that will do it for me?

I've had this happen occasionally in the past, then it stops. No idea what is happening, unless it is the login credentials not being properly transferred.
