changing carriers

just left telus with two of their older samsung phones. New carrier cannot establish data to phones as Tulus proxy info cannot be changed manually on phone. Telus sez Bell can fix. Bell sez samsung can fix. Samsung sez Bell or Telus can fix. Round and round we go with no help from anyone. Any ideas.

Have you considered staying with Telus knowing that things just work?

Usually one needs to have an unlocked phone to switch carriers. Are these phones unlocked?

If you cannot edit the default APNs (sounds like a Samsung S II X) then you should be able to just add a different one and use that. Which phone is it?
